Oxford Space Systems is developing a range of scalable, single-shot deployable helical antennas for Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) communications and services. The first IoT antennas were launched and deployed in 2020 and are operating successfully. 

By leveraging kite making skills and origami inspired techniques, our deployable helical antennas can be configured to meet a broad range of requirements. For missions where low mass and stowage efficiency are critical, Oxford Space Systems offers a holistic, turn-key, customer centric design service. High performance Bi, Tri, and Quad filar helicals can be developed and optimised to meet mission requirements.
