GRADUATE SCHEME AT OXFORD SPACE SYSTEMS

Here at Oxford Space Systems, we are committed to developing our people in an inclusive and collaborative environment, providing real opportunities to make a difference. And our Graduate Scheme does just that!

A two-year, rotational programme, where graduates experience in at least four different departments, gaining hands on experience in many different aspects of mechanical engineering, quality and manufacturing of antenna products and other novel deployable structures.

But what do our past graduates have to say about their experiences?

Angelika:

“My graduate programme in Oxford Space Systems offered me an overwhelming opportunity to be at the forefront of space technology and innovation. It helped me gain hands-on experience with advanced space sector projects by engaging with a very collaborative team of engineers and experienced technicians to contribute to multiple research and development missions. This programme not only enhanced my technical skills but also fostered innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in me. To sum it up, the Graduate Scheme at Oxford Space Systems helped me lead my career to become a highly skilled professional, ready to tackle the challenges of the rapidly evolving space industry.”

Tanvi:

“Through the Graduate Scheme at Oxford Space Systems, I had the invaluable opportunity as a mechanical engineer to work on a variety of projects across different departments. This experience allowed me to engage in design, analysis and testing on numerous projects, ultimately guiding me to choose the Discrete Elements team, which aligns perfectly with my career goals.”

Francesco:

"The Graduate Scheme has been a tremendous experience for my personal growth! Over the last two years, thanks to the four planned rotations in the Graduate Scheme, I had the opportunity to work on all the major projects at Oxford Space Systems in various capacities.

I could work hand to hand with all the departments of the company, under different capacities. As a Mechanical Engineer I could see the design and analysis phase of a project. I could then test the hardware, both as a Test Technician and as a Test Engineer. As a Quality Engineer, I had a completely different perspective of the company and the procedures that are in place.

I can confidently say that all the experience I gained during the Graduate Scheme have prepared me for my current role as Project Coordinator for the Discrete Elements team.

Because of the diverse project rotations and the variety of roles that can be covered, I highly recommend the Oxford Space Systems Graduate Scheme to anyone looking to transform their theoretical knowledge from university into practical working skills."
